I agree. FW is a great place to do business with. Typically, there is very fast turnaround.

Not sure what you ordered, but some items say 5-7 to ship, like new SCX and lots of Fly cars. So it might be that they don't keep those item on site.

Hey Jim. I edited that part out since it served no real purpose and FW is a great place to buy from. I guess if you're a forum big shot (AKA administrator) you can see edited-out text as well?
The car is a Scaley Range Rover Police car with siren and flashing lights. I have the Ford Focus version. Really cool . . . well if you're into that sort of thing (I also have the Carrera Mustang and Dodge police cars - flashing lights, no siren). Guess it's pretty much the kid in me . . . which I'm glad I still have. I'll bring the Scaley to the next race.
Where do you find the "5-7 day" notice? I haven't seen that. I rechecked the page for the Range Rover and didn't see any indication of delayed shipping. There was an asterisk by the item number, but no explanation anywhere what an asterisk by a part number means (not sure why an asterisk would be used without a meaning attached).

Uni, i read your post before the edit. No secret powers.
I know you all think i am crazy, and legally I am, but the Sunbeam is a incredible looking car. I would luv to have one in 1:1. This, the Delta, the Renault 5 and the Fiat Italia 131 are my favs of 09 along with anything Slot it.

I see it now. When you said Sunbeam for a moment I thought you meant something other than the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.
Sunbeam made a pretty cool roadster sports car in the 60's. During my first year of college (Boulder, 1965), there was a (no doubt rich) student (I presume) who drove his new Sunbeam Alpine up and down Broadway. I think it was a special edition powered by a big Ford V8 - kind of parallel to what they were doing with the AC Cobra. Really nice car as I remember.

That must have been a Sunbeam Tiger, Craig. The Sunbeam Alpine was the original car and came with a 1.6 liter four cylinder. The Tiger came a little later. Sean Connery drove a Sunbeam Alpine in the first James Bond movie, "Dr. No", as I recall, which was filmed in Jamaica.
Yes, the Tiger was kind of a poor man's Cobra. Carroll Shelby was the one who suggested the Ford small block, I think.
The Tiger came with the 260 V-8 and then the 289. I had a friend who had one. It was so tight in the engine compartment that it came with a panel in the right inner fender well that came off so you could change the right back spark plug. It was a fast car and a lot of fun to drive.
Like a lot of cars (like the Austin-Healey), safety and emission regulations (and the fact that Chrysler bought Sunbeam, so a Ford powered Chrysler didn't sit too well with them, even if they didn't have a small enough V-8 to substitute) killed the Sunbeam Tiger in 1968 (1967 was the last year of production.). Tigers are very collectible these days and supposedly easy to maintain. I have seen people put 302's in them, which makes them even faster.

Yep Reed, Tiger is right. I didn't think Alpine sounded quite right, but it is all I could think of. Thanks for the brief history.
A very cool car. It would make a great slot car to run against the Cobras. I doubt there are any 1/32 models of it, but it might be fun to check out and see - maybe resin - maybe fit it on an MRRC Cobra chassis.
As an aside, I've figured out to replace the MRRC red can motors with something a little tamer. I have a couple Toyota Celicas in which I swapped a Fly/GB motor for the red can and it made the cars much more fun to drive, while turning even quicker lap times. I'm planning to do the same with some MRRC Cobras I have.
PS: had to put the second "l" in "killer." It was driving me nuts.
