Welcome aboard Gene. Love the track. What type of paint did you use for the surface and what tires do you guys run. My track is the one with the squeeze which is painted with a semi-gloss latex and we mostly run silicone (PPR's/Supertires) around here but some of the original rubber tires if sanded and cleaned with TNT run well also.

I used interior flat laytex, lightly sanded after the first coat, did not sand after the second coat. The track surface is almost smooth. The guy that got me interested in a wood track was using rubber, since I race at he's place I also use rubber or urethane. I mold my own tires.

Welcome aboard Geno. Sweet lookin' track!!! Do you run any 1/24 scale? We are having a little race at my house this Friday. You're welcome to stop by. We'll have loaners if you don't have any and want to check it out.

FYI, Geno lives in Kansas. Some of us are thinking about heading out there to race sometime and Gene and his cohorts are also thinking about visiting us for some Rocky Mountain hospitality. Stay tuned.
