There has been a lot of talk about 1/24 road races. Who is interested enough to participate? We have plenty of BRM Porsche 962C's in the club, with several extras available for those who don't have them. Most of us have Carrera Ferrari 330P's. We also have enough Carrera LMP's (between me and Daryl) to do a race of them as well.
So, how about we schedule a 1/24 race as the support race sometime? Anybody interested?

A lot of talk is all, good luck. I suggested this back on Jan 6th. No one that owns a finished track that can handle a 1/24th scale car has stepped up to the plate. Maybe I have to get off my ass and build another track and only run 1/24th cars instead of these little kiddie cars you all are playing with. So there you have it, doing my part to toss grease into the fire by being a di*k head today. Blaaablaaablaaaaa, this fricking snow sucks giant monkey nuts!! Being parked in a sea of cars this morning really put me in a pissy ass mood today. Stupid 1/32nd cars, be a man and step up to the big boy toys you wankers!! Baaaahumbug, $@#@$ snow!!!

I got an idea!!!! Why don't we have a 1/24 race at my house on friday the 13th of February? Damn the bad luck!! Let's run 'em. Who's up for it? We can discuss classes if enough people are interested. But it would be nice if you trackless, 1/24 road racin' fiends would build tracks so I'm not the only one on this side of town with a track!!! Let me know, Joe

I can do Friday the 13th.
If these classes interest anybody, I have two Ferrari 330's and two BRM Porsche 962C's, the extra is available to anybody who wants it.
We could also do a modern class - I have a Ferrari 575 and a Corvette C5R. I know several other people have these cars as well. Cars won't be a problem.
Hot Rods, Sebring cars (Gran Sports and Ferraris), vintage Ferraris, they're all good.
Joe, it's your track. Pick your poison!
And yes, you are right. I'm trackless right now, but will fix that ASAP. Will get those dimensions to you - looks like approx. 10 X 13 for the pool table and 17 X 17 for the eventual permanent layout in the other room.

Hey Joe,
Barring a snowstorm/bad roads, I can come.
As Reed suggested, BRMs, Ferrari 330s, Ferrari575/CorvetteC6, Hot Rods are all good for me. I have a couple of the the older Carrera LMPs - but I don't know if they will run with the new ones.
Hey Marc, I haven't seen anything about a 1/24 enduro. On your new track? Which thread? I would certainly be interested (though I know you favor iron man events, and I'm still a bit of a pussy about that, but can adjust - maybe pick up a bionic arm somewhere).
Erick, if this flies and you attend, I can bring your stuff up then.

I'm in for a BRM race (we have had them as support race before - and anyone remember the enduro I tried to set up in Loveland?). And I'm always up the running those stupid little 1/32 things too...

Thanks Marc, I missed that. Wow! Nice track.
I'm up for the 1/24 enduro Mike suggested, or whatever other format you guys come up with. Let me know when.

We sure are!! Right now we have me, Reed, Michael, Craig, and Erick. That's enough to race and marshall the track. There aren't as many shunts with the 1/24s. Is 7:00 OK?

7:00 p.m. works for me. Which 1/24 cars are we racing or do you want me to just bring everything I have?
Also, I'll bring the Rolling Stones CD's, unless you want them at Jim's, Joe. Let me know.
