When it comes to the teeth count, what number is good for speed on the straight aways, and what is the count if you would prefer a good quick start?

A 3.75 ratio would be quicker of the line but a 2.5 say would have a higher top speed. Would have to have something that satisfies the type of track you where racing on. So on Marc P's track do you want to be fast at the end of his long straights or quick through the turns?

Thats really dependent on the type of motor and the track. Personally, I don't mess with the gearing much if any. All my Slot.it cars are running stock gearing and anything with added on Slot.it parts run the green gear (sidewinder) of they're Flys and the red if they're Scaleys. Usually an 11 tooth pinion for a side winder and a 9 tooth for an inline.
With regards to Ninco, their motors have a ton of torque so I'd stay with the stock gearing. Thats what most of the top placers at the Ninco nationals ran.
