Hey Jim. I'm trying to put together the three piece wheels. I know I have them right and I've checked again and again, but the provided 2X8mm bolts are just too short. They would have to be 2X10mm to catch the nuts that fit in the hex slots. The three pieces are clearly tight together, but the bolts (BA5) just reach the surface of the other side - nothing to grab the nut. Did you run into this problem? I guess I'll have to find some 2X10mm bolts somewhere. UPDATE: Well after driving around town and calling a bunch of different places, I am still without suitable 2X10mm bolts. Hobbytown had something that would work, but only 1 pkg (4 bolts) at one store and 1 pkg at the other. So I ordered from from A Main Hobbies (couldn't find what I needed at Tower or Horizon). I may check Fastenal tomorrow, they were closed when I got there. Thank goodness the drinking light is on.

Well here is what I make of it. Make sure for the fronts you are using F1, F2, & F3 wheel sections. Maybe, just maybe (I'm grasping here) you are trying to put together wheels with mixed Front and rear sections. Bottom line is just make sure you are indeed using F1, F2 & F3 for each front wheel and R1, R2 & R3 for the rears. Tamiya is usually laser perfect and everytime I thought they screwed up it was because I screwed up, not them. Otherwise you have me stumped here.

Eureka! Thanks Mike. Your response encouraged me to look again closely at the wheels. You're right, the parts up to this point fit perfectly.
And, I did indeed have the correct parts front/rear matched up - it's really the only way it will fit right.
What I didn't notice before, and did as I closely inspected the rims, was the tiny peg or notch on each of the three parts to line them up. No mention in the instructions about this. I just didn't have the pegs aligned with the notch on each part - about 1mm difference each , so therefore the 2mm discrepancy.
