We talked about running a 1/24 street rod series ending at thunderflats for drags. So for I believe we have Hansi, Mikes Joes and my tracks running it. This will be a blast!

Het Sticky, is that a Carrera Hot Rod, or made from a Model kit? If it is the Carrera, does it have the mod kit advertised on SCI? Heres a link to that thread (which also contains lots of mod ideas): slotcarillustrated.com/portal/forums/showthread.php?t=17274Your own mods? What did you do? Or maybe you're using the H&R chassis? Any rules for these races? Unlimited? Can you tell I'm interested? My attendance will depend on getting a car together and when the races are held. HB

here ya go Hell Boy ;D Craig, It is box stock at the moment. I do like the upgrade stuff. I think we are keeping them stock do to the limited parts/tuning stuff. I myself like the idea of going to a BRM motor. But that hasn't been discussed from what I know. I just did a quick repaint so I wouldn't have the same ride as others come saturday nights drags.

NICE car Sticky! I really like the green paint.
So box stock Carrera Hot Rods, yes. It seems like most of your tracks are powered pretty low. These cars seem to like a little more voltage - or an engine swap as many suggest. I took your original post to mean that there would be road racing in addition to the drags.
CCH has introduced an interesting drag racing class - a 2.5 second fixed dial-in. You either build a 2.5 sec e.t. car or drive your faster car at that e.t. I'm surer you've seen those classes at the drags where the burst off the line, suddenly slow down, then scream to the finish. Might be just right for the Carrera motors.
Kinda like how all the carburetors ran on my cheap cars when I was a kid.

[/glow]Maybe on the tracks that you have made races too so far this year Hell Boy. But the rest of us run MG power that can go to 23v. We run these bad boys at 18v. It seperates the pussywillow babycakes from the true racers
