It sure is!!! I haven't had any cancellations so I'm assuming that everybody is still coming. I'm going to open the doors at 6:30 and start racing at about 7:30-8:00. That should accommodate guys who want to get here early and mess around on the track and the guys who can't get here until a little later.
Let me know if anyone has to cancel.
I'm planning on having my usual snacks and light beverages. BYOB.
Directions:
I-25 to I-70 west, get off at Wadsworth Go north on Wadsworth to 58th (Ralston), make a left on 58th. Go down about 5 lights to Garrison. Make a right onto Garrison. At the first light make a right onto Brooks Drive. Follow that around a sharp right curve to your first left turn. Make that left (it's still Brooks Drive). Go a few hundred yards to Hoyt Street, make a right. It's about 5 or 6 houses down on the left. It's 6051 Hoyt Street, Arvada 80004. Tel. is (303) 423-3759. Call if you have a problem.

Thanks Joe. Weather report says a slight chance of snow - but we didn't get any snow down here a few days when the probability was 60%. So I'm thinking the roads will be OK.
Looks like you're in North Denver. I'll probably leave here at 5:00 or so (middle of Friday rush hour unfortunately) and should make it there by 7:00 depending on traffic.
We never really pinned down the classes, so I guess I'll just bring several different cars. Let me know if I should bring more than one SWB.
The AutoArt Mustang is rated at 12v and runs like a banshee at 15v - I don't even want to think what it would be like at 18v - I'll leave it at home.

Craig, I'd suggest taking Perry Park Road (105) to Santa Fe then 470 around to 70 and head east and jump off on I think Kipling and then go north. Better than trying to go through the middle of the city.

Craig:
Yes, Mark has it right. You get off I-70 at Kipling and go north.
Please bring your AutoArt Mustang. I'd like to see it.
I will be there, Joe.

If you go the way that Mark says, then you go north on Kipling to 58th, make a right on 58th and then to Garrison (I think it's the 3rd light) and make a left instead of a right. From here, follow the other directions I gave you from Garrison to my house.

What a great time we had at Joe's last night. If you weren't there, you really missed out.
Thanks, Joe, for hosting some really great races. I had a blast!

Hey Joe, I second that. Thank you for hosting a great evening. The snacks were delicious and the company excellent. I am envious of your track - one of the best layouts I have raced and perfect for 1/24 racing. You also seen to have some pretty neat kids.
Reed - mileage was 90 miles coming up 470, and 82 miles heading back via 1/25 (not much traffic at 11:00). Also, we have to figure out how to get my excess Carrera track to you. Finally, any chance of getting a copy of the Wide World of Sports LeMans race (I'm thinking it was 68 or 69)?

Wow, Craig. Long way to drive. We'll have to come down to your place sometime so you don't have to make the drive.
Are you coming to Purdham's race on the 21st? I am and you could bring the track then. If not, I'll have to figure something out.
Absolutely on the '68/'69 Le Mans race video. I'd be glad to make you a copy. Just that one and not the Ford film? I'm going to check the audio and see what the deal is.

No, I won't be coming to Marcs for the series race. The distance is one of the reasons I won't be doing the "series" racing. Back when gas was $4 a gallon, the trip to Joe's would have cost me $35. Better now, but gas is working it's way back up. The other main reason is the cost of modifying two cars that I probably would only run once or twice and then wouldn't run again. That just gets too expensive for me when I have other things to spend money on. And finally, I'm just much more interested in 1/24. If Marc runs an enduro in the future I'll try to make it. Maybe he'll revive the Megane thing - I have the car and parts.
I'll PM you about the Carrera track.

Thanks again Joe. That was a good time.
Buy yourself a lottery ticket as what I did yesterday will only happen once in a blue moon. I bought a RTR slot car. BUT, I did stick to my theme as it was a 1/24th scale car. The Porsche Budweiser BRM car Tom had for sale. It's sooooo pretty!!
Then I got 4 more motors and two sets of rear wheels to finish up 4 more cars I have in the production schedule. One of those will be a Road Race car for the heck of it.

First off Unimog. The Slot it class is box stock. You never got a 312pb from Tony form $39.99? Second the Fly class is any Fly car with any parts you have on hand, so... I know you won a 360 pro race kit and have a slot it 956. Both motors could be put in a fly car and you are set. So these classes are NOT price or cost prohibited. More a lack of interest in your part. Like the motto goes, "we don't coddle" fried egg!
